Rich is doing such a wonderful job posting about our activities. There certainly isn't anything I can add to his last posting. This area is as beautiful as he described and at the same time an extremely peaceful place. At times, you only hear the tweets of the birds.
We tried to visit the fish hatchery today, but it was a self guided outdoor tour. Unfortunately, we are a few weeks too early to see salmon spawning. Rich the new owner of this CG told us the eagles won't be visiting this CG in about 3 weeks because they will be getting fresh salmon.
We did get to see the seagulls nesting under the bridge. Females sitting on their eggs and males bringing back food back to the females.
Tonight we were entertained with another eagle feast. We even had 2 eagles that just sat on the ground in front of us to eat their fish. One eventually flew off without eating a fish - she was too full.
How blessed we have been to have arrived in time for this event and also before the high travel season.
Very happy and excited to be spending some extra time here. The people are so friendly and so willing to share their way of life.
Looking forward to the possible cruise on Prince William Sound - weather permitting!
Night all from this endless night area!
