Hard Driving Days!

JASPER NORTHBOUND TO WHITEHORSE, YUKON

We have put four driving days into the books--Jasper to Dawson Creek, then to Fort Nelson, and onto Watson Lake and then to Whitehorse.  From Alberta into British Columbia and then to Yukon Territory.  All one night stops!  We will stop in here in Whitehorse for a two day "catch up" before another one or two day push to Alaska.  Clearly, it is a long ways from the US/Canada border to get to the border of our US Alaska state with our Canadian brethren!
We have had spotty Internet for several nights.  But what a hoot:  on Monday night we were in a restaurant attached to the campground west of Watson Lake which had an Internet connection and there were 5 adults tapping away at their devices--three laptops, a smart phone, and an iPad trying to catch up on emails, etc.  None of us will be able to make any comments about youngsters sitting in a booth out somewhere not talking but tapping away!!  A bunch of 70 somethings attached to their computers!  What a hoot!

OK, so back up some for a picture posting.  We had a picture taking extravaganza at Mile 0 of the Alaska Highway--the ALCAN!

All of us at Mile 0

Ritchie struggles to get up on the stone marker at Mile 0...good luck down the road, Big Boy!

Once up on the stone marker, Ritchie signals the way...with a cup of Ritchie's water in his right hand!

Jack stands up to grab the arrow...Ritchie was not able, but hey!!
